Recently, many leftists have followed in the footsteps of the reactionary Western liberals, claiming that the war the “Israeli” and American imperialists are waging in West Asia (or the “Middle East”) is purely a “distraction” from the Epstein files.
This is a gross erasure of the fact that the Western imperialists have never needed an excuse to invade another sovereign nation-state.
Some have even joked about the Epstein files, which is in many ways even worse, as it further normalizes calm, detached reactions to a pedophilic ring whose best years coincided with the unfortunate fall of the Soviet Union at the hands of the imbecilic traitor Gorbachev.
To be very clear, the bourgeois elite have never required a reason to attack an alleged “enemy.”
The ruling party has consistently utilized propaganda to “manufacture consent” (or in a much better leftist’s words, “invent reality”), causing popular opinion to rise against their “enemy” and indirectly authorize interference against that very “enemy.”
This is not to say the attacks on Iran and the Epstein files are unrelated. Rather, regardless of the files’ release, this war would likely have occurred; it was an inevitable consequence of Iran’s refusal to kneel to the Western oppressors.
As per an interview with The Washington Post, this would also have happened under Kamala Harris.
