How often do you publish new articles?
Voice of the Proletariat aims to release 1-2 in-depth theoretical analyses each week, with shorter news reports and brief commentaries releasing around the clock throughout the week.
How many emails do you send a week?
In an effort to decrease the number of emails sent per week, shorter news articles are compiled into the Saturday Morning Wrap-Up, while in-depth analyses of current events and theoretical topics will continue to be emailed.
Do you use generative AI?

Yes! The publication’s official glossary, hosted as a Notion database, is accessible both here and on the homepage, under Resources.
Can I cite your work?
Readers are free to cite my work with attribution, so long as there is no intent to misrepresent or reinterpret my words. I ask that students do not copy and paste or resubmit my work as their own, as doing so constitutes plagiarism, which is a gross violation of academic integrity at virtually every educational institution.

Why do you write about topics such as popular music and culture?
Voice of the Proletariat has been and will always be a personal outlet covering both politics and culture, in line with my fields of study. This is not and has never been an official Party publication.
Being an adherent of Marxism-Leninism does not equate to ignoring material realities. To make this claim is to ask the ridiculous question, “If Marxist, why iPhone?” Cultural products under capitalism remain immensely popular around the world and may serve as an entry point for readers with such interests to discover Marxism-Leninism more broadly.
Funding and support
Does the publication receive any external funding?
Voice of the Proletariat is a wholly independent publication with no ties to or funding from any state body or organization. Any funding received, whether through donations or paid subscriptions, originates solely from supportive readers.
How can I support your work?

Do I have to pay to read your work?
All subscribers, both free and paid, have unlimited access to all Voice of the Proletariat articles released within the past year, as I do not believe in paywalling current events-related content. After a year, articles will automatically become paywalled.
Why do you offer paid subscriptions?
Funds received through paid subscriptions or donations go toward basic living costs. Much of my time is spent writing, organizing, or working with groups on the ground, and I frequently donate what I can to causes around the world.
What are the benefits of becoming a paid subscriber?
Paid subscribers gain unlimited access to the full Voice of the Proletariat archive and are able to hear about and discuss articles prior to their publication. Paid subscribers are also able to start new chat threads, while free subscribers can only reply to existing ones.

Eastern Europe
What is your position on post-Soviet Russia?
While Russia is no longer socialist, I fully support Russia’s foreign policy and role in global politics, especially in its criticism of Western imperialism and push for Palestinian sovereignty, self-governance, and self-determination and its collaboration with African nations in their decolonization and modernization.
What are your thoughts on Ukraine and Ukrainians?
Following the US-backed coup in 2014, the Kiev regime under Zelensky has committed mass atrocities against Russian-speaking Ukrainians and ethnic Russians living in eastern Ukraine. They have also suppressed Orthodox Christianity, destroyed Soviet monuments, made attempts to rewrite its Russian Empire and Soviet history, and glorified known Nazi collaborators such as Stepan Bandera and Andrey Melnik. Further, Zelensky is a Zionist Jew in full support of the so-called “State of Israel.”
West Asia
What is your position on the “Israel-Palestine conflict”?
I do not recognize the so-called “State of Israel” formed in 1948 as a legitimate state. Zionism is a settler-colonial, imperialist, and racist ideology that instrumentalizes Judaism and Christianity to justify genocide, ethnic cleansing, and land dispossession in the State of Palestine. As Russia and China have asserted on many occasions, Palestine should be ruled by Palestinians, not European Jews.
Do you support the “two-state solution”?
I do not recognize the so-called “two-state solution,” which is an idealist “solution” completely detached from reality. Both Netanyahu and some Palestinian armed resistance groups have made clear that there will be no two-state solution, so clinging to this belief is like willingly living in delusions.
What is your position on armed resistance?
I am in full support of the right to self-determination of all peoples under foreign and colonial rule, including the right to armed struggle, as enshrined by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Additionally, I align with Chairman Mao’s classification of just and unjust wars in his “On Protracted War” (1938).
East Asia
Do you view China as communist? What are your thoughts on the Maoist/Dengist divide?
I believe that the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is in their primary stage of building socialism. Both Chairman Mao and Chairman Deng have contributed greatly to the concept of socialism with Chinese characteristics, so both should therefore be considered.
I have also found that many “Maoists” engage in book worship, which Mao himself staunchly opposed. As such, I generally avoid the terms “Maoism” and “Dengism,” instead opting for the correct terms “Mao Zedong Thought” (MZT) and “Deng Xiaoping Theory” (DXT).
Further, I commend current Chairman Xi Jinping on his good efforts toward the well-being of the masses and the advancement of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
What is your position on the Taiwan question?
Since ancient times, mainland China and Taiwan have been part of one China, sharing deep cultural, ethnic, and historical ties. Taiwan today remains an inalienable part of China’s territory as the 20th province.
Upon the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in 1949, the PRC became the sole government representing all of China, including Taiwan. This is a sound fact that is firmly rooted in history, international law, and China’s domestic laws.
I strongly oppose the actions of the so-called “Taiwan independence” separatist forces as well as their supporters, who routinely undertake actions to violate China’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and right to self-governance.
As an ethnic Korean, what is your position on Korea?
I believe that Imperialist America should cease their interference in matters that do not concern them, including but certainly not limited to their meddling in internal Korean affairs.
I view current President Lee Jae-myung in a relatively positive light due to his calls for dialogue with the PRC and DPRK and his willingness to critique “Israel” and the US. However, I urge President Lee to carefully consider Pyongyang’s stated red lines, a requirement for dialogue and cooperation across the peninsula.
I know of many Koreans from the South and around the world who have begun to question the hostility toward our Northern compatriots and greatly commend them for their willingness to break free from the ideology America has placed on the Korean people.
